Ugh. First of all, "Kinnect" will supposedly run you $599 $189. Granted this is for the most expensive version, but why do you need several SKUs for a camera? Is the expensive unit the one that works while the $99 version may or may not function? Who knows. I guess the price still qualifies as a rumor, but you can definitely expect to see these sweet newly-leaked games. •Kinectimals lets you train and play with 20 different virtual cats, including a lion, cheetah and tiger.
•Joyride, a racing game, lets players use their hands to hold an imaginary steering wheel — pull your hands toward you and push back out for an acceleration boost — and their bodies to execute jumps and tricks.
•Kinect Sports has six activities including boxing, bowling, beach volleyball, track and field, soccer and table tennis. To serve a volleyball, you mimic the real motion; in soccer, you can kick the ball or do a header.
•Kinect Adventures includes a river-raft time trial and obstacle course, playable by up to four players. On the raft, playing as a duo, you and a partner must lean one way or another to steer. Jumping helps the raft reach special areas for extra points.
•Dance Central, in development by MTV Games, brings a So You Think You Can Dance experience home.
•Star Wars characters and iconic Disney favorites will be featured in separate new games being developed at Microsoft in conjunction with LucasArts and Disney. The only interesting-sounding game out of those is Kinectimals, which may or may not be Rare's doing. But why is it only cats? Is Microsoft trying to capitalize on Nintendo's abandonment of cat people since they never got around to making Nintencats? Silly. E3 has officially started. It's going to be a loooooooong week, guys.

Kinect Sports = Wii Sports?
...Sounds icky. We all know Rare is being used as development guinea pigs, so they're probably being used for this.
That image at the top with the two black people is something Nintendo would use. -_-;
Edit: WTF their shadows are those Avatars. Yeah, Rare is definitely involved in this. And since Rare is good at making games with very long development cycles, and Microsoft will want this out sooner rather than later, we get to see Rare rushed. Which means shit.

Oh, and YoshiRider informed me that Microsoft recently hired a circus. And from the looks of things, tomorrow's press conference will be a circus act indeed.

Oh, and YoshiRider informed me that Microsoft recently hired a circus. And from the looks of things, tomorrow's press conference will be a circus act indeed. Only the Natal portion. Microsoft is known for knowing wot the 'core' gamers want to see, which is why they have always had consistent E3 performances. I doubt they'll let Natal overshadow the other parts of the line-up. Probably will be like the Vitality Sensor last year... added with the Wii Sports Resort demonstration. ...Eh.

*sigh* Really... what is Microsoft thinking? I can't see this ending well when Wii looks less silly and is less expensive.
Sony has to worry about the Move too. But since they made a knock off of the Wii Remote w/ Wii Motion Plus, they'll at least do better than the dissipating Kinect... as long as 3rd parties can get behind it lol.

So I saw quite a bit of the Kinect showcase.
Kinectimals is like Hey You Pikachu and Nintendogs combined... it seems like an interesting diversion for children on a rainy day.... but nothing more.
Then there's Kinect Adventures which takes you through incredibly dangerous scenarios and takes screen shots of you making a fool out of yourself IRL.
Kinect Joy Ride is incredibly bland looking. I remember years ago when Excite Truck was about and that looked a whole lot more fun.
Ubisoft made a Kinect game that tries to make Wii Fit run for its money, but it isn't going to really detect your weight. It was pretty cool how the Kinect renders your body on screen as a blob thing. It was able to construct what your skeleton looks like and it even renders your clothes. So the lady who demonstrated the thing took off her jacket and off it went. I betting that one day some one will strip naked in front of the kinect and put it on youtube. Not showing the nudity of course.
That dance game made Harmonix was the best thing I saw there. It's Harmonix after all.
Kinect Sports... I don't know how it can really beat Wii Sports. It's up to the casual gamer to decide. Through a financial standpoint, the casual gamer who doesn't own a 360 and wants to get Kinect Sports will have to dish out a ton of money. The new 360 slim (which might get the red ring of death), the kinect, and the game it self. That's insane. They have a ton of sports but I don't see how they could beat any other sports game. It's up to the casual gamer to decide. But I think without a remote, grandma, who might have to put her back into Kinect Bowling, should be cautious.
They briefly showed a Star Wars Kinect game. It's pretty much what you expect, only no remote to use when you want to swing your lightsaber. You have to pretend you're holding something. Otherwise you can just spam the force to blow things away. The action in the trailer seemed weak. Slashing a Storm Trooper with the lightsaber didn't look brutal enough. It's less brutal than the Lego games for crying out loud! Oh! And good luck blocking gun lasers when you are flailing your arms about.
Then they had a Forza game demonstration... and all the guy did was walk around his car and gaze at how sexy it was. Will they allow car lovers to hump their automobiles too? With the kinect, ANYTHING is possible. NO REMOTES NECESSARY! *wink*

Actually, it's Kinect.
But yeah, I'm actually looking forward to that circus performance!

Metal Gear Solid: Rising and Halo Reach looked great.
The rest was terrible, Rare is dead, etc.

Did I miss the conference? I work too much.
I was never really interested in Natal, anyway, and Rare hasn't put out anything great in years.
I'll have to YouTube what I missed...

I'm pretty much ignoring the Kinect when it comes to the SecksBox because I know that it won't take over the whole system. Also, you guys are aware that the avatars are pretty much a staple of the system by now, right?
Metal Gear Solid: Rising looked sweet though.

LOL, my sister thought that this ("Kinect") is what Microsoft was renaming the SecksBox as.

Ooh! Check this out! Miyamoto (on the left side of the audience) looking unimpressed by Microsoft's Kinect.

Bill Trinen's face (the guy to the right of Miyamoto) is also a nice one.
Although, it doesn't even look like anyone's impressed.
