Right, as far as I can see, the Sonic series is underrated.
Mainly because the people who hate it haven't got fast enough reflexes. -_- So tell me, what are your favourite and least favourite Sonic games? (Only ones that you've played, please.)
For me, I liked Sonic the Fighters, Sonic Rush, Sonic Rush Adventure, and Sonic and the Secret Rings. I pretty much hated every other Sonic game I've ever played.

My favorite Sonic game is Sonic & Knuckles.
And if you count it, my least favorite would be the Wii version of Mari0 & Sonic at the Olympic Games.

The only Sonic games I've played are 1 or 2 of the 2D games that I don't know the names of, and Sonic Adventure DX. I don't really like the Sonic series as a whole, but 2D Sonic is part of my video game childhood, so that I can live with. 3D Sonic never sat well with me.

I've only played various 2D Sonic games long ago, so I don't recall specifics. But I enjoyed them.

Speaking of which, Sonic & Knuckles just got on Virtual Console today in North America.
...You all ought to play it if you haven't, though then again you shouldn't have a reason for not having Sonic Mega Collection.

I don't have it! Yes, I have my Sonic Games on a Sega Game Pack or something. Complete with Vectorman and Shining Force! But anyway, I have poor reflexes and I hate platformers for that reason.

Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic and Knuckles, and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle are my favorite. Sonic and the Secret Rings and Sonic Spinball are my least favorite. Also I think Sonic Heroes is underated.

Mister Big kills Sonic Heroes for me.- LOL FROGGY - Other than that, it was alright. Now, Sonic and the Secret Rings, I will agree, wasn't that great, but it had it's good points. At least it was a true Sonic game where speed counts. It also had a new camera view (behind as memory serves) which helped the game play overall. Now, Spinball, I never played. As for the original Sonic games, those were the best.

Sonic and the Secret Rings did have a view from close behind Sonic.....unfortunately, that made it hell when travelling backwards (which you had to do in some stages).

I agree I did atleast have some fun with it, but the amount of frustation and bullshit I dealt with while playing this game greatly outweighs the fun I had with it. The idea of putting the camera directly behind Sonic was brilliant but it was implemented terribly. I hate how you had to do missions completely unrelated to the story to advance the through the game. I also hate how sega was too lazy to do fully animated cutscenes.

Don't get me started on the quality of the actual game, but this Let's Play makes me glad that Sonic the Hedgehog 360 was developed (or half-developed, rather). Everyone should at least watch one episode of it.
