This idea combines the thread where we discussed how Intelligent Systems loves to piss off its fans and make them fight each other, critic review of Radiant Dawn, the Final FE, IS's crossover idea and...Sexy Poker.
First, we all know that Intelligent Systems was involved in making Super Metroid, right? And we know the Metroid series rewards fast players...
So, for FE12, Intelligent Systems wants to get critical acclaim for their next work while pissing off the fans at the same time. How? Make a short game (FERD was criticized for its...long length) with an FE11-like story of non-existence and without a care (FERD was criticized for how its story of "political intrigue" (to quote Banzai) is "childish, not engaging and predictable" (to paraphrase Gamespot) with tons of Wii features (FERD was criticized by IGN for not havin' online, waggle OR Mii support).
To do this, Intelligent Systems will make crossover FE set in Tellius at the time of the Lehran/Ashunera conversation from the end of RD. The world is disturbed by shark laguz and a bucket, as a new goddess from a distant land comes to challenge Ashunera. This goddess brings with her all the characters from the different FEs. You can choose to play as either side, Ashunera's or the new goddess, or the third, unlockable side made of rogues, pirates and sea-lubbin' shark laguz (taken from a previous thread long ago about how there should be a rogue sect you can play as 'cause the mercenary parts of FE9 were enjoyable to people).
You use IR-motion to select units and Wii Motion Plus to actually do the actions your character is doing! Long, drawn out incredibly detailed cutting-edge three-dimensional graphics will be mandatory in the battle animations that can't be turned off. Some actions are easier to do than others (sword swipe vs. bow) but IS doesn't care and won't adjust the weapon stats to accommodate the ease of certain weapons because they like to piss people off. If you waggle extremely hard at the right time you can even perform a critical hit!
Since the music of Radiant Dawn was also criticized, the soundtrack of FE12 will be fully orchestrated 10-second tunes looped over and over again. Then it is nice and simple for reviewers to appreciate.
Since the story mode is short, Intelligent Systems will also have rewards for speedrunners and an online multiplayer mode that moves at an extremely laggy five frames a second! Waggle to defeat your enemy! And just like in IS-hit WarioWare: Snapped! the game will take HILARIOUS pictures of you doin' this and make you do ridiculous poses like in WarioWare: Smooth Moves! Note that the Nintendo DSi system is required to play online multiplayer, and no bots exist.
The rewards for speedrunners, of course, involve you and FE characters of your choice from the available ones. You pick a Mii you have made (male or female) and get to work in minigames with characters of the opposite gender. The difficulty mode you select (from easiest to hardest, Gamespotcritic-Easy, Othercritic-Easy, Very-Easy, Easy, Normal, Hard, Maniac, so players of all skills can play through the game!) and the time it takes to go through the game decides wot kind of reward you get and how deep you can get takin' off their clothes, just like in Sexy Poker (up to a certain point, no nudity). Gamespotcritic-Easy gets people like Meg and Othercritic-Easy gets people like Vaida and Tanith, but if you work up the ranks you can get Micaiah, Mist, Ayra, Mia, Nephenee, Ishtar, Sigrun, Sonia and even Anna the tutorial girl, who is the main lord for the rogue sect.
So, how likely do you think this idea to be and would it succeed in reachin' IS's goals?
Wahahaa.
