Hello all, and welcome to the thread of my first Let's Play series ever, Let's Play Mari0 no Super Picross.
In this thread I'll be posting a series of videos uploaded by myself of a Let's Play of the game Mari0 no Super Picross, better known around these parts as Mari0's Super Picross.
Mari0's Super Picross is a picture-crossword type of puzzle game for Super Famicom (SNES), similar to Sudoku in that it involves numbers on a grid. This game never was released outside of Japan due to poor commercial success of the previous Mari0 Picross games, but until a few years ago it was released on Virtual Console in Europe, and this game never reached American shores after that.
My schedule allows me to upload new episodes on a pretty much every weekday, so look forward to consistent updates of this Let's Play.
Watch as our hero takes on the numerical stone walls of terror with nothing but a hammer and chisel, as he saves the location of wherever this game takes place in from the threat of surprisingly clever embedded images.
I wouldn't disagree at all. All this game is, is a puzzle game with Mari0 stamped on it.
But it's fun! =o
Voltorb Flip is more fun, if only due to the BGM and explosions. And because forming Kanji characters is stupid.
As far as I know, only the first few puzzles are Kanji, you eventually form pictures of inanimate objects or animals, and then eventually Mari0-related things. I don't know if you make any more Kanji characters by the time you reach other things.
And yeah, I'll probably change the BGM due to viewers' requests.
