"And yes, you need to wear 3D specs to play it." ...What?

"And yes, you need to wear 3D specs to play it." ...What? I'm calling bullshit. That claim goes against every word Nintendo has said about it, and without any evidence to back it up or anyone collaborating their story, I think it's safe to say that there isn't the slightest chance of them being correct.

That would explain it.
I don't have it yet since apparently I didn't preorder it when I thought I had, but I went with a friend to get it at the midnight release. It's fucking awesome.
And yes, I can verify that no glasses are necessary to see the 3D. You do have to be right in front of it and at the proper distance to see it properly, though.

I think for the most part I'll have the slider in 2D mode anyway. ...If I ever get it. Proper distance? So I like to play my DS Lite on my desk while on my computer with headphones in my DS Lite sometimes. With a turn-based game like Pokémon, I type while watching the actions unfold on the screen until I have to input again. Wot is this proper distance like?

Wot is this proper distance like? 10 - 14 inches away, but it can vary depending on the position of the depth slider.

It's about the distance I usually use when holding it. Desk gaming might not work so well... but then, that's what the 2D is for.
