www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/video/friday-june-11-2010/1233757/This is our next Planet Koopa project. We are to produce an e-mail that will be sent to Nintendo via their online form about the showin' of DKCR on NBC in Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The reason we're angry? Because they obviously staged and embarrassed DKCR, derailing it for the 3DS and making false promises. Rawk, elaborate more, since you sat on your ass for hours anticipatin' this. Describe your experience with the whole thing in detail.

I had to sit through an hour of Adam Sandler talking about tucking his dick between his legs, Oliver Stone spouting off conspiracy theories, and talk about drugging people with cocoa leaves, just to see Donkey Kong Country Returns on mainstream TV. (definitely the weirdest way to get DK news since...well, ever.)
After David Chang makes his stupid cocktails, Reggie is finally on the stage. As he talks about DKCR, it is apparent he has a sizable amount of dip in his mouth...maybe. Anyway, the one minute of footage shown gives us a quick look at DK and Diddy's close-to-ledge animation (which is funny) and a better listen to the mellow part of Jungle Hijinx. Hooray.
And Fallon gets smashed by a Tiki pillar. The audience goes wild.
But then in typical Reggie fashion, it turns out the DKCR showing was just a set-up for another product. As things are JUST getting good in the demo, Reggie and Fallon derail the whole thing and shamelessly plug the 3DS until the next commercial break. Cue Eminem, who I was convinced would perform a cover of the DK Rap. Fuck.
Seriously - Reggie's ass is going to be REAMED for this.

This is kind of immature. You don't have long to wait to get your hands on this game. It comes out this holiday season. The need for news will be gone by then.

It's immature of Reggie to screw over DKCR when it deserves proper media coverage. In your opinion. But what does the majority of Fallon's audience think? To the average person, which is cooler? A nostalgia inducing (only for those who apply) Donkey Kong game or the first handheld system with 3D without the use of glasses?

A nostalgia inducing (only for those who apply) Donkey Kong game or the first handheld system with 3D without the use of glasses? The latter. But wot begs the question is why did Reggie arrange for DKCR to be shown in the first place? Why not just cancel the DKCR feature or never have it exist on the show, and just only show off the 3DS?

Fallon asked about it. It may have been a wise move. Many people would have been disappointed just watching him mess up in the game due to his lack of experience. There wouldn't be much news anyway because they wouldn't be able to get far. Fallon may not have wanted to disappoint his viewers with such staleness. So he calls for something more exciting. Both of you shouldn't have got your hopes up.
Also, this plan of yours lacks proper foresight. What exactly do you think you'll gain from two angry emails from a couple of bitter youngsters? A computer generated apology? Will that satisfy you? Just let it go.

You don't seem to have forgotten my point.
Why bother even putting DKCR on the itinerary on the first place? Fallon and Reggie obviously staged the 3DS to show up, so why bother even bringin' DKCR?
Well, Nintendo actually has customer service surveys when you send them e-mails, and if you rate it low and say that you got computer-generated/generic e-mails, they actually give you a human response.

Fine. If you REALLY need an apology for something so trivial, do it. *rolls eyes* This isn't worth a project.

I object. Clearly this is people being mad. Honestly, I understand why and what they did. But, there is NO reason for you to get pissy. >_>

I'm enraged that Reggie didn't fall or something.
And I don't mean in the game.

Fine, I'll deannounce this. But Rawk and I are still gonna do this.
Edit: Any help would be appreciated though.

I'm going to lock this since it was settled. Good luck with that. Alert me when something actually happens that's worth taking away from my time working on college >>

Ok, ok. If this is srs buznis I won't lock it. But I still find it ... a little odd why you even care. At least they showed SOME of it. I mean, come on? Fallon? REALLY? Why not just create AD TIME FOR THE GODDAMN THING and be done. That's all Fallon is. Ad time. =\
