I obtained Soul Silver!
First thing I did at the mall, before reading instructions, was take out the PokéWalker tag. ...Dammit.
Now I finally am playing it. JUST picked Totodile. Hasty first try. I'll keep it.
Edit: I'll obviously update this as I play more. Which I'm doin' now. Music is great. But I already knew that.
Edit 2: Fueg (rival) is a loser. Caught Hardy level 3 Hoothoot and Careful (crap) level 3 Rattata. Hoothoot in Pokéwalker.
Totodile is male.

I also acquired SoulSilver today. Looks like our adventures will run parallel for now since I'll also be picking Totodile.

All of my party is female sans Totodile. I got an Oran Berry and a level 5 Sentret from Hoothoot's stroll.
Sentret is Impish. Which is bad. <_<;

Caught Gastly. Adamant. WTF. Rocky is Hasty and level 3. AKA sort of useless. Got OHKO'd by some random Bellsprout. In my PokéWalker. Totodile is like level 12 now and had to pwn the last two Sages and the Elder by himself. Zubat can and did wall some Bellsprouts until it had to Struggle. But then it learned Supersonic. Then it got KO'd by the sage with Hoothoot who abused lack of sleep clause. I think I forgot to mention Youngster Joey's Rattata OHKO'd most of my Pokémon besides Totodile with crits. So now I'm in Violet's Pokémon Center. We need to form a Planet Koopa group. Y'know, groups? I dunno. But some bitch at Earl's mentioned it. I'll be the leader. ^_^; I feel useless just sitting at my chair. 10 more Watts until next course is unlocked. I apparently got another Sentret that's level 5. It got there on its own. I'll get rid of it, probably.

Does the type of Pokémon (the name for it escapes me, you know, Impish, Hasty, etc.) really matter in the beginning of the game? Doesn't it really only come into play when team building? I ignore all of that and get through the games just fine.

I ignore all of that and get through the games just fine. They could be the difference between a level or not really mid-game. Examples: The like, six Unown I caught. None of them have HP Fighting or Electric like I wanted, two of them are Quiet, one of them is Mild, the most balanced one is Bold, the other two are terrible. Also, I want name rater soon since I mistook Unown G for a Y.

6:48 in. Beat Faulkner. Rocky, the traded Onix, went from level 3 to level 8 solely by PokéWalker usage. Totodile beat Pidgeotto by himself. So Rock Smash was able to be used. Rock Smash Ruins of Alph rocks. Out comes level 12 Geodude. Dump Rocky for him. Then I find Frieda and get the Hard Stone, give it to Geodude. I catch stuff, beat some Magikarps, and eventually get to Union Cave. And I get the egg. As soon as I get Surf I'll be back here on a Friday. Egg hatches. Timid Togepi! ...With Hustle. I dump Zubat since it is useless. I get out of Union Cave, beat Hiker Anthony, alert Kurt, check out the wi-fi plaza (...which is strange), beat some Team Rocket Grunts, start being extremely attracted to the female one, beat Lan--...Proton easily, rescued Azalea. By the way, Totodile flinch-h4xed Proton's Koffing with Bite until Koffing fainted. So then Fueg challenges me BEFORE I fight Bugzy. Togepi was able to beat Gastly in one hit, Zubat in two... And then Bayleef destroyed Togepi, Sentret and Geodude, OHKOing all of them. So Hoothoot was sent out. I kept growling Bayleef to widdle down its attack. Bayleef kept poisoning Hoothoot. Eventually it got down to -6 attack and Hypnosis'd. Switch to Totodile, who leers Bayleef as much as it can. Bayleef eventually faints Totodile. Hoothoot is sent back out, OHKOs Bayleef with super effective critical hit peck on a -4 defense Bayleef. ^_^ After that, Bugzy was a cinch. Geodude literally beat all of his Pokémon with OHKOs from Hard Stone-boosted Rock Throws. So current party: Togepi (level 12) Sentret (level 12) Hoothoot (level 14) Geodude (level 17) Totodile (level 16) Sentret has to be replaced sometime soon, or I'll just use it as a cut slave. It's horribly useless, ridiculously slow, pretty weak as well. Geodude is higher than Totodile because of the exp it got from soloing Bugzy. Walked over a mile during school, apparently. Got tons of strange looks. So I stopped after I beat Bugzy. I'll put my FC here soon.

I don't have HG yet, but once I do I will add to the adventures!
But you should keep Sentret until it evolves, and it'll be useful.

I'm at the end of Ilex Forest. I'm making Sentret a Headbutt/Cut slave.
Also I got a perfect score in the Mime Jr. ball minigame in the Plaza.
Apparently, according to the instruction manual, I'm not supposed to put my friend code on 'Message Boards' or to 'strangers' but only to people I 'know well'. Or else I'll 'receive modified data or offensive language'. ...I know you guys well enough. Also, after a bit of sleuthing, it seems that all of the new stuff in HGSS besides the Pokéathlon, Safari Zone and PokéWalker are stolen from Platinum.

If I ever get this game, I'm going to send you some sort of virus that just makes everybody you talk to say "SHIT FUCK Kakuna" and kill two birds with one stone.
Never mind that I don't even know how to do that.

I just reached Goldenrod as well, and I'm glad to see that it's just as awesome as it ever was. My party's a bit weak though and Whitney's wiping the floor with me. D:

I just reached Goldenrod as well, and I'm glad to see that it's just as awesome as it ever was. My party's a bit weak though and Whitney's wiping the floor with me. D: Whitney's ridiculously easy. Just like with Bugsy, Geodude sweeped her by getting +6 speed against Clefairy, then proceeded to Rock Smash crit her. Everyone keeps giving me phone numbers. I like the bike music. I traded a wild level 12 Drowzee for the level 12 Lonely female Machop. I'm addicted to Voltorb Flip. I reached level 7 and have like over 7,000 coins. Didn't turn them in. I also went to the Pokéathlon. Machop was horrible in speed but pwned in power. Totodile pwned in both. Current party, fighting Sudowoodo: Level 16 Hoothoot Level 20 Machop Level 18 Togepi Level 20 Totodile Level 21 Geodude Level 14 Sentret Togepi metronomed self-destruct and then explosion against the trainer with the level 14 damp Psyduck. <.<; Radio kind of fails. Edit: Just did Buena's Password. Free Pokéball. No fail. Oh, and I watched some terrible battle videos at the Global Terminal. Goldenrod is so big! Togepi got a haircut, too. ...And fought some guy whose Lickitung had a haircut. Dunno how that can be.

Is there a limit to the amount of phone numbers you can register?

44 hours in with 4 badges, and I somehow wind up in the land of Kanto.
That was yesterday. Now, I have beaten Pryce, but I never went to go get the badges from Chuck and Jasmine. Some guy in Mahogany wants me to sightsee the unvisited area of the region and prevents me from advancing, so I guess this ends my eccentric way of playing the game.
Currently training a Pidgey named Pidgeon via the Pokewalker. You all shall perish soon enough.

I just beat Champion Lance. That guy has way too many Full Restores. I had to rely almost entirely on my good ol' Slowbro with Avalanche, but my plans did not always work out because Dragon Rush would make me flinch. If Johto were kind enough to lend you an Ice Beam without having to play that damned Voltorb Flip game, things would be a whole lot different.
